Twenty people who were on the boat that sank in front of the small Italian island, despite the efforts of the rescuers, are still missing.
The country of origin of the rescued migrants
The rescued come from Egypt, Sudan and Syria and had set sail the day before yesterday from the Libyan port of Zowara. Their health condition, according to doctors, is not a cause for concern. The seven-year-old boy who managed to be rescued lost his mother in yesterday’s tragedy and is going, as soon as possible, to go to Germany, where his father has immigrated.
