Space missions and space travel require patience – this is not least due to the unwavering “safety first” principle. This principle will also have an impact on the manned NASA moon mission Artemis 2 next year: last planned for September 2025, it is now not scheduled to start until April 2026. Private, unmanned lunar projects, however, could make faster progress. Two NASA astronauts who are currently stuck on the ISS space station also need patience. The 50th anniversary of the European Space Agency Esa should be cause for celebration in 2025.
