The Federal Highway Police (PRF) released this Thursday (2) the balance of Operation Rodovia 24/25 – New Year phase. In six days of action, between December 27th and January 1st, 120 accidents were recorded on federal highways that cross Paraná.
The collisions left 143 people injured and eight dead. The balance takes into account the health status of victims treated on the highways. In one of the accidents, the one recorded on December 31st, on BR-476, in Lapa,. This third death is not included in the PRF statistics.

The focus of this phase of the operation was to combat excessive speeding. During the six days, more than 6 thousand radar images (6,152) were recorded. 9,785 people and 7,368 vehicles were inspected. 55 people were arrested, 17 for traffic crimes and 11 for driving drunk.
