Brazil will be able to export hydrolyzed poultry protein to Peru and mucopolysaccharide to Turkey, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a joint note. For Peru, Brazil is authorized to sell hydrolyzed poultry protein, an input used in feed production. In 2024, Peru opened ten new agricultural markets for Brazilian products, including yerba mate, cassava bran, hay, coconut fiber and apples, according to the ministries.
“These openings will help strengthen and diversify the trade flow between the two countries. Between January and November 2024, Brazil exported US$683 million in agricultural products to the Peruvian market”, highlighted the folders.
Turkish health authorities have authorized Brazil to export mucopolysaccharide, a compound of animal origin used in the pharmaceutical industry.
In 2024, until November, Brazil exported US$2.9 billion in agricultural products to Türkiye, mainly soybeans, textile products and coffee.
The country accumulated 224 market openings for national agribusiness products in 2024.
