The notice for the 2025 Urban Property and Land Property Tax (IPTU), calendar of tax launch notifications, was made available by City Hall on Monday (30). The tax amounts have not yet been released. According to the document, the IPTU card will be sent to taxpayers from the second half of January and the first installment and the deadline for payment in cash will be due in February. The complete table can be seen at the following website:

Taxpayers who do not receive the notification by the deadline may issue a second copy of the notification via the website or report non-receipt of the notification in any of the sub-prefectures within the indicated period. If communication is not made, the taxpayer is considered to have been notified. Notifications for exempt taxpayers will be posted from February 25th. Failure to pay any installment of the IPTU subjects the taxpayer to registration in the Municipal Informative Register (Cadin), which records disputes of individuals and legal entities before public bodies and entities in the municipality.

The tax can be paid via Pix and the payment guide with the code must be issued exclusively through the IPTU website. The São Paulo Municipal Finance Department does not send charges or links for tax payments via email, SMS or WhatsApp.
