Ten people were injured in a shooting in the New York neighborhood of Queens late on New Year’s Day, the New York Police Department said, cited by Reuters.
According to the police, those injured in the incident that occurred outside a nightclub on Wednesday night included six women and four men and all are expected to recover.
The shooting occurred when four men opened fire on a crowd outside the club. However, police ruled out the possibility of a terrorist attack.
The incident occurred hours after two other acts of violence elsewhere in the US on New Year’s Day. , a truck crashed into a street full of people celebrating the New Year, killing 15 people, and in Las Vegas a Tesla vehicle exploded outside a Trump hotel in Las Vegas, killing one person and injuring seven.
US authorities struggled to find suspects linked to the New Orleans and Las Vegas incidents and also investigated possible links to terrorism.
