No one in history has won as many titles playing professional football for Corinthians as left-back Yasmim. There were 19 cups raised and the arrival of the Brazilian team. After enormous success on green and yellow soil, the player was made official this Thursday (2) as a reinforcement for the powerful Real Madrid.
“Yasmim Assis Ribeiro is Real Madrid’s new player. The Brazilian defender began her career at São José in 2014 and arrived at Corinthians in 2017. After two seasons in European football, playing for Benfica, she returned to the club Brazilian, where he played the last four seasons”, announced the Merengue club. “Yasmin plays left back. A national team player since 2021, she won the silver medal at the Paris Olympic Games and the last Concacaf Gold Cup.”
At the new club, Yasmin received the number 12 shirt and hopes to triumph as she did at Corinthians, where she lifted 19 cups: four Copa Libertadores, six Brasileiros, 5 Paulistas, one Copa do Brasil and three Supercups do Brasil.
“For me, football is my life, it’s my dream. Since I was a child, it has always been my life goal to live off football and make my dreams come true through it. And thank God today this has become more and more a reality”, said Yasmin, when introducing herself to the new house. “I told my father since I was little that I wanted to be a player and I started training at the age of 10 with the boys at a small school in my city. And other people dream of this with me too and help me.”
The left-back cannot hide her satisfaction at voting for Europe to defend the colors of a giant. “I was very happy, really happy, to be here at this club. It’s phenomenal, such a heavy shirt as it is, a club with so many stories. I’m very happy to have this opportunity,” he said.
And he has already made himself available to help. “I think Madrid/Brazil is a perfect match given all the history of players who have played here. I hope to make history here too. With my experience with victories and on the technical side, I can add a lot, with many precise passes, assists… I’m calm, I like to help and that will be very important.”
