The opposition party SaS is conducting talks with the unaffiliated member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, Martina Bajo Holečková, about possible entry into her parliamentary club. This was confirmed for TASR in an end-of-year interview by SaS chairman and member of parliament Branislav Gröhling. “There are more things that unite us than they divide us with MP Holečková. It is strongly anchored against the government of Smer-SD, Hlas-SD and SNS and their corruption policy, in which they only care about themselves and do not care about the country“, he stated.
He would consider Bajo Holečková a significant contribution to the party in the field of solidarity. “Its topic is, among other things, single-parent families. I think, or rather I would like, that SaS stands up for families. We should strive for families to be strong, self-sufficient, with full wallets and not have to depend on the state and some benefits“, he pointed out.
Gröhling does not know when Bajo Holečková will say her next plans regarding political activities. “We can offer every single interested party with similar values some personnel background and space for implementation. He must then decide whether it is satisfactory for him“, he concluded.
