A car hit a pedestrian near the Košice hospital: The woman will be treated for her injuries for almost two months

A pedestrian who was hit by a driver at a pedestrian crossing while exiting a parking space opposite the Children’s University Hospital (DFN) in Košice suffered serious injuries. The Košice regional police informs about it on the social network.

The accident on Ondavská Street happened on Thursday (January 2) in the afternoon. “It happened while the driver was crossing the oncoming traffic lane and trying to enter his lane in the direction from Považská street to Trieda SNP street. The pedestrian was passing through the passage from the hospital towards Považská Street,” the police say.

The woman suffered an injury in the collision that took more than 42 days to heal. According to the police, due to her serious condition, she could not submit to a breathalyzer test. The driver’s breath test was negative. The traffic accident is under investigation. In this context, the police appeals to all road users to be extremely careful and pay attention to their surroundings.
