Current mayor decrees financial calamity and orders that the municipal administration headquarters be closed for 15 days
The mayor of Belford Roxo (RJ), (União Brasil), stated this Thursday (2.Jan.2025) that he found the city hall of the municipality of Baixada Fluminense after the mandate of the former mayor (Republicans) in a state of “true chaos”.
In a video published on social media, Canella says that computers and hard drives were taken from the location and that information had been erased from the equipment to “make it difficult” the work of the new management.
“This was yet another criminal act by former mayor Waguinho. Guys, there’s so much pig spirit that they took away a tap and a coffee maker. They took it to the shower, even the flags of the city, of Brazil, of Rio de Janeiro, which were here in this room”these.

Canella declared financial calamity in the municipality and ordered that the city hall be closed for 15 days to, according to him, reorganize the headquarters.
Belford Roxo City Hall expressed itself on social media and stated that the measure was taken to ensure “that service to the population returns as quickly as possible with efficiency, speed and transparency”.
