Coalition negotiators are quickly planning new ORF committees, a “convention” on FM4 and contributions

When it comes to media policy, the coalition negotiators have put in some stakes for the government program of the ÖVP, SPÖ and Neos. According to unconfirmed STANDARD information from several sources in negotiating circles, the three parties are said to have agreed on a rapid reform of the ORF committees in accordance with the requirements of the Constitutional Court this spring. A “convention” on media policy should clarify fundamental questions such as future tasks and mandate and thus also the financing of the ORF by 2026.
