Football player is shot after stepping on drug dealer’s foot in RJ

An amateur football player was shot in the early hours of New Year’s Eve after stepping on a drug dealer’s foot during a funk dance in Queimados, Baixada Fluminense. The victim was identified as Kauan Galdino Florêncio Pereira, 18 years old.

According to witness reports, the drug dealer responsible for the shooting is nicknamed “De Ferro” and is considered the leader of drug trafficking in the community.

The crime happened after Kauan accidentally stepped on the drug dealer’s foot. Kauan immediately apologized. Even so, he was taken to the top of the hill and hit by two shots, one of them in the head. Kauan was taken by residents to the Burns Emergency Care Unit (UPA).

He was transferred to the Nova Iguaçu General Hospital after the seriousness of the case was confirmed. In a statement, the Nova Iguaçu Health Department informed that Kauan Galdino is admitted to the ICU in a very serious condition.

When contacted, the Civil Police stated that they have already started investigations.
