The President of the Republic, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, sanctioned Law 15,083, which authorizes the creation of a subsidiary of NAV Brasil Serviços de Navegação Aérea SA (NAV Brasil) and provides for the possibility of selling its controlling interest to the Union. published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Friday (3) and was sanctioned without vetoes.

Created in 2020 to implement, manage, operate and industrially and commercially exploit the aeronautical infrastructure intended for the provision of air navigation services, NAV Brasil is now authorized to create a subsidiary whose purpose will be “and activities related to the development of projects and equipment aerospace and carry out projects and activities to support aerospace control and related areas”.

For its implementation, the subsidiary may hire technical and administrative personnel for a period of four years after its incorporation.

The Law also authorizes the assignment of civil servants and public employees and the placement of military personnel at the disposal of the subsidiary, regardless of whether they occupy a commission position or a position of trust.

It also authorizes the NAV Brasil subsidiary to sponsor a closed supplementary pension entity, through adhesion to the existing entity.

The Union is authorized to assume direct control of the subsidiary through the transfer of the shares owned by NAV Brasil, in its entirety. This transfer will be carried out at no cost to the Union.
