During four days of festivities, between December 28th and 31st, thousands of people gathered at Monte Gordo Bay to enjoy a diverse program, full of unforgettable moments and highlighted by a dazzling fireworks display.
The night of December 31st was the highlight of the celebrations, with the highly anticipated Calema concert, who captivated the public with an unforgettable performance. After the countdown and the pyrotechnic show, the Time Travel project extended the entertainment into the early hours of 2025, taking the public on a musical journey.
The festivities began on the 28th, with the presentation by Maninho, which gave the perfect start to a program that included other prominent names, such as Sugalande Danni Gato, culminating in the grand event on the last night of the year.
The organization stood out for its “high level of excellence, ensuring safety and comfort for everyone present”.
“Monte Gordo was completely prepared to receive the public, with free parking areas duly marked, an exclusive area for citizens with reduced mobility and signage that facilitated circulation in the area”, says the Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António in a statement.
Security was ensured by a joint operation involving Civil Protection, PSP, GNR, Firefighters, Maritime Police and private security companies.
Highlight is “the high hotel occupancy rate in the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António, which, especially in the Monte Gordo area, registered levels close to 100%”.
The mayor of Vila Real de Santo António, Álvaro Araújo, highlighted that “Monte Gordo has once again established itself as the destination of choice for the New Year’s Eve party, providing an unforgettable experience for everyone. This event not only boosts our local economy but also reinforces the image of the municipality as a place of excellence. We are already preparing for next year’s edition, which will be even more extraordinary.”
Thanks “to everyone who joined the party, the public, sponsors, security forces and the partners who contributed to the success of the event”.
