Palmeiras received an offer from Brighton, from England, to sign 18-year-old defender Vitor Reis. The information was published by the newspaper “Express”.

According to the publication, Brighton is interested in paying 23.5 million pounds – around R$180 million at the current price. The newspaper states that negotiations for the athlete’s transfer are ongoing.
This is Brighton’s third proposal for the player, who has already been sought after by major European football clubs, such as Chelsea, Arsenal and Real Madrid.
Verdão, however, plays hard to sell the athlete. The club is thinking of keeping him at least until the Club World Cup, between June and July 2025. The idea is to keep all the main athletes until the competition.

One of the possibilities discussed between the parties was for Brighton to sign the player in this January window, but loan Vitor Reis back to Palmeiras until the middle of the season.
According to “Uol”, Verdão expects to profit at least 30 million euros – around R$ 190 million –, making the athlete the most expensive defender in the history of Brazilian football.
Vitor Reis’ numbers at Palmeiras
The player participated in 22 matches for Palmeiras’ professional team, all in 2024, having scored two goals with the team’s shirt.
The player started for the first time on July 1, 2024, against Corinthians, precisely when he scored his first goal with the Verdão shirt.
