The Acre State Planning Secretariat (Seplan) released a new survey on the price of the basic food basket in December, in Rio Branco. Data collection was carried out by the Department of Research and Indicator Studies (Deepi).
The cost of a basic food basket for an individual reached R$568.59, an increase of R$14.99 compared to November.
In relation to the previous month, December saw an increase in prices for food baskets (2.71%), domestic cleaning (0.26%) and personal hygiene (0.16%). The items that showed the most price increase were coffee (16.86%), banana (11.02%) and oil (5.60%), while tomatoes (-4.84%), beans (-1.26% ) and cassava flour (-0.29%) showed a price reduction.
“The data was collected in 55 commercial establishments, made up of large, medium and small retail markets, butchers and bakeries, distributed in 39 neighborhoods in the capital of Acre”, highlights the research.
