The ferry used to cross between Cruzeiro do Sul and Rodrigues Alves was stranded on Thursday morning (2), and an ambulance that needed to cross was unable to cross.
According to the Department of Highways, Waterway and Airport Infrastructure (Deracre), the ferry faced problems docking due to the flood and sudden drop in the river, which caused mud to accumulate on the ramp.
According to people who had to use the ferry, the cars that tried to board were getting damaged on the inside, causing losses to their owners.

The government of Acre, through Deracre, informs that a team is working exclusively on the maintenance of the ferry docking ramp, with the support of a machine and operator, with the purpose of normalizing operations.
The ferry faced difficulties in docking due to the river’s flood and the sudden drop in water level, which affected the ramp due to the accumulation of mud. The Deracre team is on standby and working hard to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
