José Pereira Júnior, 27 years old, was shot in the chest and died when he arrived at the emergency room on Thursday afternoon (2). The crime took place in the Laranjal neighborhood, in the municipality of Xapuri, in the interior of Acre. The accused, a 17-year-old teenager and brother of the victim, was apprehended shortly after the murder.
According to police information, José was a worker, lived with his wife and had his own residence. The accused, aged 17, was a drug user and lived with their mother in another house.

According to the police, the teenager was angry with José because, in the past, he was apprehended after the victim prevented him from attacking his own mother.
On Thursday morning, José tried again to prevent the teenager from continuing to attack his mother. The young man, who had already intended to kill his brother, waited for the situation to calm down. In possession of a shotgun, he went to José’s house, located in the same neighborhood, broke into the house and shot his brother in the chest, who fell in agony at the door of the property. After the action, the teenager fled.
José’s family helped the victim and called the police and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). A basic support ambulance was sent to provide first aid. José, in a very serious condition, was taken to Epaminondas Jácome Hospital, in Xapuri.
The patient was scheduled for air medical transport, but there was no helicopter available. With great difficulty, the medical team managed to take him to the emergency room in Rio Branco, where he died minutes after being admitted to the surgical center.
The Military Police went to the scene of the crime, collected information and managed to quickly apprehend the teenager, accused of attacking his own mother and killing his brother.
The minor was apprehended and taken to the Xapuri Civil Police Station, where the case is being investigated.
