Executive Secretary of and Partnerships of the new mayor’s administration (), (PL) states that the cemeteries concession will not be canceled, despite the various complaints that have appeared in relation to the service and that should motivate the installation of one in the City Council.
According to Machado, the mayor emphasized to him the importance of guaranteeing legal security for privatization projects. Changes to the concession may be made in relation to problems highlighted, such as lack of maintenance of cemeteries, but there will be no breach of contract.
The new executive secretary mentions the reopening of the Pacaembu stadium as a highlight of the first months of his area. The expectation is that this will happen on January 25th, in the final of the Junior Football Cup.
Medium and long-term goals and new concessions and privatization of equipment will still be discussed with the mayor, says Machado.
