Sanepar reported that a rupture in a water distribution ring, which occurred this Friday morning (3) in Balneário Coroados, in Guaratuba, on the coast of Paraná, could affect the water supply in the resorts Barra do Saí, Coroados, Nereidas and Eliana.
Broken pipe affected supply
According to the company, the ruptured pipe is 200 millimeters in diameter. The water supply is expected to return to normal by the end of the afternoon.

The company reinforces the importance of the population’s understanding and collaboration. Consumers with home water tanks should prioritize their use for hygiene and food, postponing activities that require large water consumption until the system is back to normal.
Sanepar also highlights the recommendation from ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards) that properties have water tanks with sufficient capacity to meet users’ needs for at least 24 hours.
