Experts predict that babies born from 2025 onwards will grow up deeply integrated with AI. Many will live until the 22nd century.
Babies born on or after January 1, 2025 are part of a new generation: the Beta Generation, the new “crop” of humans born from 2025 to 2039.
“The next generation will inherit a world facing major social challenges. With climate change, global population shifts and rapid urbanization, sustainability will not just be a preference, but an expectation”, writes the social researcher Mark McCrindle.
The Beta Generation will represent 16% of the global population by 2035, are children of Millennials younger and older Gen Z and Many of these children will live into the 22nd century, according to company founded by Mark McCrindle, who coined the term Generation Alpha.
Generational ranges for those born in the last 100 years:
- Beta Generation: 2025-2039
- Alpha Generation: 2010-2024
- Generation Z (Centenials): 1997-2009
- Generation Y (Millennials): 1981-1996
- Generation X: 1965-1980

Beta Generation: shaped by a world saturated with technology
For Generation Beta, the digital and physical worlds will have no borders.
“While Gen Alpha has experienced the rise of smart technology and artificial intelligence, Gen Beta will live in an era where AI and automation are fully embedded in everyday life – from education and workplaces to healthcare and to entertainment.”
This generation will likely be the first to experience large-scale autonomous transportation, wearable health technologies, and immersive virtual environments as normal aspects of daily life. Your years of training will be marked by greater personalization – AI algorithms will adapt learning, shopping and social interactions.
Education and Technology
Technology in children’s education represents opportunities and challenges.
On one hand, Millennial parents have integrated technology into their children’s lives, using it as a tool for learning, connection and entertainment from an early age. On the other, they have been aware of the potential pitfalls of trying to balance screen time with outdoor activities and social interactions.
Generation Z parents, more familiar with the benefits and risks of social media, tend to limit their children’s screen time. A study shows that 36% of Generation Z parents consider this an essential priority, compared to 30% of Millennials.
Why the name Beta Generation?
Generational transitions are not just chronological – they are defined by the events, technologies and cultural changes of their time.
“Generation Beta follows Generation Alpha (born 2010-2024). We named them Alpha and Beta to signify not just the new generations, but the first generations that will be shaped by an entirely different world. That’s why we switched to the Greek alphabet, to indicate how these different generations will be raised in a new world of technological integration.”he writes McCrindle.
