Having a dog is the dream of many children. A puppy that welcomes the whole family with a cheerful bark seems to be the perfect companion. However, this dream often collides with the harsh reality of parental concerns. For some, a dog is too much of a financial burden, others fear the responsibility that an animal brings, or are held back by their own fear or negative experiences.
Moderator Marianna Ďurianová (47) had a similar internal struggle for a long time. But in the end, she decided to make her son Roman happy and added a video with the puppy in her arms to the social network. “If someone had told me three quarters of a year ago that I would voluntarily get a dog for my household, I probably would have laughed out loud,” she wrote in the introduction.
A threatening memory caused her fear for many years. “When I was 8 years old, he bit me quite decently with a chow-chow. Since then, I had a reserved relationship with dogs. Sometimes my heart rate even increased when a strange dog approached me. And like a monster, dogs were always and everywhere pushing towards me,” she described the negative experience.
Finally, she changed her mind. “Cut… my son was born and ever since he started talking he talked about wanting a dog. After a while, he found that it was impassable through me, but he didn’t give up. And the day came when something strange happened in my head. I think this is due to shirodhara on an Ayurvedic stay in Sri Lanka in the spring (already) last year. I don’t know if they removed some blocks in my head, or the happiness in Romi’s eyes as he played with all the dogs everywhere – anyway, I started to think realistically about the dog in our life. It was a process and you can see the result on the video,” she added. You can watch the adorable video above the article.
