A family was taken hostage by hooded men who had firearms on a farm in the rural area of Boa Esperança (ES), located 285 kilometers from the capital, Vitória, last Friday morning (3). The suspects vandalized the house, stole a 380 caliber pistol and took around five tons of pepper from the place.
According to the Military Police, the owner of the farm contacted the agents and reported having been attacked, tied up and threatened by the suspects, who wanted to know where the weapons in the area were.
Still according to the victim, his wife was also captured by the suspects and kept trapped in a room of the residence.
The suspects also stole a pickup truck, a motorcycle and the battery from the farm manager’s car.
According to the PM, after locking the man in the residence along with his family, the suspects fled and so far, no one has been arrested.
The Civil Police reported that the Boa Esperança Police Department (DP) continues to investigate the robbery to locate the suspects involved in the crime.
The victim’s motorcycle was recovered by the Military Police last Friday morning (3), on the ES 315 highway, in the rural area of Boa Esperança.
