Carrot salad is a classic. How can you enjoy it even more? Just add the right ingredients to it…
In this day and age, when vegetable prices are high, root vegetables – carrots, for that matter – are almost a lottery win. It is crispy, fresh and quite cheap. You can get a kilo of carrots for around thirty crowns, which is even cheaper than, for example, apples…
And then it’s enough to use it correctly. You can crunch it “just like that” for a snack and remember your childhood years when your mother told you that carrots are good for your eyes. But at the same time, you can grate it into spreads, soups, cakes or decorate sandwiches with it.

Vitamin bomb
In addition to having a fresh, sweet taste, carrots are also low-calorie (contains only
25 kcal per 100 g), so you can enjoy it in abundance. In addition, it also contains carotenoids, which are converted into vitamin A in the body. This protects your eyes from cataracts and night blindness, but also strengthens your immunity.
And that’s not all! Scientists also agree that carrot eaters have a greater resistance to inflammation and infection, so don’t forget to eat plenty of carrots now that inflammation is rampant!
Varianta nasladko
To incorporate this root vegetable, you can try, for example, a classic carrot salad. You can prepare a dessert. How to do it: Mix 200 ml of water into which you have squeezed the juice of 2 lemons and added 2 spoons of granulated sugar. Stir the mixture until the sweetener crystals are completely dissolved. Then add 500 g of grated carrot, 100 g of grape wine, pieces of orange, 100 g of fresh sliced (or compote) pineapple. Toss the salad and let it rest for at least five minutes. Serve it sprinkled with walnuts. It’s yummy!
Salty and perfect
Carrot salad with cabbage and peppers is also brilliant. Why this combination? Because all the ingredients are juicy, crunchy, nutritious and most importantly – they can fill you up in an instant. See for yourself.
How to do it: Peel four carrots and grate them on a coarse grater. Mix it with 150 g of shredded white cabbage and 1 chopped red pepper. Finally, mix the salad dressing that you made from 2 spoons of mayonnaise, 1 spoon of virgin olive oil, 1 spoon of lemon juice, ½ teaspoon of salt and 1 pinch of pepper into the salad.
