Four indigenous people were injured after being shot on Friday night (3), in Guaíra, in western Paraná. The region has been a site of conflicts over land disputes between indigenous people and rural producers.

According to the Federal Police (PF), firearms were fired in the direction of the indigenous community at around 9 pm, in the Eletrosul neighborhood.
In addition to federal forces, state and municipal security teams were called to the scene to prevent new episodes of violence from being recorded, according to the note sent by the PF this Saturday (4).
The four indigenous people who were shot were rescued and taken to medical care in hospitals in the region. According to the Civil Police, two were seriously injured and were transferred from the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) to a hospital, where they receive specialized care.
Furthermore, both the Civil and Federal Police reported that an investigation was opened to find out who the perpetrators of the shooting were.
