This Friday (3), the Military Police arrested three people suspected of steal copper cables on Avenida das Américas, in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, west zone of Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
According to the command of the 31st BPM (Barra da Tijuca), one of the detainees was involved in what happened on December 28th.
were found 12 copper ropeseach measuring approximately 6 meters. The incident was registered at the 16th DP (Barra da Tijuca), which will continue the investigations.
The dragnet on the BRT
On December 28th, seven armed criminals invaded a BRT between the Pedra de Itaúna and Riomar stations, in Barra da Tijuca, and robbed six passengers.
During the action, the victims had cell phones, wallets and other belongings taken. A video obtained by CNN shows the action of the bandits during the robbery.

After committing the crime, the criminals, who werearmed with two pistols and knivesdemand that the driver open the BRT door, and then flee.
The case was registered at the 16th DP (Barra da Tijuca) and the Civil Police are investigating the case.
