The body of Willian Schultz, a 41-year-old man who drowned while trying to save his stepdaughter, was buried this Saturday (4). In addition to him, his son-in-law Vitor Hugo da Silva Barroso, aged 14, also died while trying to help rescue his girlfriend.
On social media, friends seemed to not believe the loss of Willian, who was described as a smiling, friendly and happy person by the people who knew him.
“Will made a very beautiful journey here on earth, and now he will be at God’s side watching over his children…May God comfort the hearts of the entire family! Rest in eternal peace Will”, said a friend.
Additionally, other people wrote that William will be missed and recalled that he was always smiling. “Will was not only our client but he was a friend, always happy and smiling! He will be greatly missed,” one man posted.

Willian Schultz and Vitor entered the waterfall to save a teenager who fell into the waterfall. The girl was the teenager’s girlfriend and Schultz’s stepdaughter. According to firefighters, the two entered the scene to try to help her.
The teenager who managed to get out of the waterfall reported to firefighters that the men were still in the water.
The Paraná Military Fire Department (CBMPR) rescued the victims, who remained submerged for around 20 minutes.
