A quick dinner from nothing is true culinary magic in a pan. Simple ingredients that you always have in your kitchen create a dish full of flavor, color and aroma. Golden potatoes, juicy chicken and aromatic mushrooms with a hint of garlic and dill do not look like they were a coincidence, but a well-thought-out composition by a renowned chef. Such a dinner is sometimes the last resort when time is running out and the fridge is empty.
Ingredients:
- 500 g potatoes,
- 300 g chicken breast,
- 200 g mushrooms,
- 1/2 red pepper,
- onion,
- 1-2 cloves of garlic,
- fresh dill,
- salt and black pepper,
- butter.
How to do it:
Peel the potatoes and cut into irregular cubes. Boil them in salted water until soft. You can also use leftover potatoes from dinner. Drain the potatoes and set aside in a sieve. Wash the chicken breasts, remove the membranes and cut into strips or cubes. Season with salt and black pepper. Additionally, you can add your favorite dried herbs. Fry the chicken on all sides in butter and set aside on a plate.
In the same pan in which the chicken was fried, melt the butter again and add the peeled and finely diced onion. Fry until golden and soft. After a while, add the pressed garlic and cleaned and sliced mushrooms. Fry, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes. Then add the boiled potatoes and chopped peppers to the pan and fry for another 10 minutes. Finally, add the chicken and simmer for a few minutes to combine the flavors. Season again with salt and black pepper if necessary.
A quick dinner out of nothing is ready, serve it immediately from the pan, decorating with finely chopped dill.
