Striker Bruno Xavier is the fifth reinforcement to be announced by Vitória for the 2025 season. The player’s announcement took place this Sunday afternoon (5), through Leão’s social networks. In the publication, the Bahian club informed that the player signed a bond until the end of 2025.
The new red-black striker is one of the five reinforcements who already appeared at Toca do Leão last Friday (3). In addition to Bruno Xavier, Zé Marcos, Thiaguinho, Claudinho and Ronald were part of the re-presentation. Only the former Criciúma midfielder has not yet been announced by Leão to the fans.
Bruno Xavier can play both as a midfielder and as a wing forward, where he had the most minutes in the Ituano team during the Serie B dispute. In the second division, the 28-year-old player scored eight goals and contributed two assists. Considering the entire season, there were 13 direct participations in goals, nine of which were scored and four passes were offered.
The midfielder’s highlight in 2024 occurred in the 26th round, when Ituano went to Moisés Scarpelli and scored a 4-1 defeat at Macaca. Bruno Xavier was directly involved in the four goals scored by the red and black team, as he found the net three times and provided the pass for the goal scored by Thonny Anderson.
Together with Thiaguinho, the duo has already worked with coach Thiago Carpini at Água Santa in 2023, at Santo André in 2022 and in 2021 at Inter de Limeira. Bruno Xavier was also led by the Leão coach at Ferroviária, in 2022.
