Journalist Douglas Richer is evaluated by aeromedical professionals; he travels this Sunday to São Paulo

On Saturday night (4), a team made up of two aeromedical staff, a physiotherapist and a nurse was at Fundhacre, in Rio Branco, to carry out an assessment on journalist Douglas Richer, one of the most renowned entertainment columnists in Acre. Douglas’s transfer to São Paulo is scheduled for this Sunday morning (5), where he will undergo a lung transplant, after months of fighting pulmonary fibrosis. Currently, the columnist only has 25% of his lungs working.

At just 37 years old, Douglas Richer is a prominent figure on the communications scene in Acre. His career began around 10 years ago on the ContiNet website, where he quickly stood out as one of the main communicators in Brazil. Richer has already covered major events, including São Paulo Fashion Week last year, where he had the opportunity to interview several celebrities.

Despite the difficulties imposed by his health condition, Douglas always maintained his passion for communication. Even at home, he continued to send news and stay active in his roles. In addition to his work as a columnist, he also served as a press officer at Sena Madureira City Hall during the administration of former mayor Mazinho Serafim and provided services to the office of senator Márcio Bittar. He serves institutions and companies with his advertising services on social networks and in the column he has maintained for over ten years on the ContilNet website.

Wania Pinheiro, businesswoman and longtime friend of Douglas, highlighted the journalist’s struggle with lung problems that worsened over time, without a precise diagnosis until December of last year. “Douglas is a charismatic and talented young man. He not only shines in communication, but he is also an excellent dancer, having performed for many years in Banda Sena, one of the most renowned in Acre in the 90s.” This lung problem has been affecting him for several years, but he, and none of us who are close to him, knew how serious it was, which was only discovered last December, said Wania.

The businesswoman also expressed her gratitude to everyone who has been helping with prayers, to Governor Gladson Cameli and Senator Alan Rick, who have made every effort to support Douglas in his recovery. “Many people are helping, especially with prayers. I can’t help but thank Governor Gladson and Senator Alan for their efforts. Special people like Sofia Brunetta and secretary Nayara Lessa have been working hard to help with the bureaucracy, and keeping us updated about his transfer to São Paulo. With God’s grace, he will be treated and will return soon to continue making us happy”, added Pinheiro.

The Acre community mobilizes in support of Douglas Richer, who, with his determination and charisma, won the hearts of many people, especially those who like to know about the lives of celebrities from Acre and other places in Brazil and the world. Saturday he did a live, where many friends sent messages of faith and hope. The expectation is that, after the transplant, he will be able to return to his work and continue to bring joy and information to the public.
