Grêmio is looking to sign Swedish striker Niclas Eliasson, from AEK, in Greece. Tricolor Rio Grande do Sul made a loan proposal to count on the 29-year-old athlete.

How much will Grêmio pay to sign Niclas Eliasson?
According to “GE”, Grêmio would pay 500 thousand euros – around R$3.184 million – for the loan with an option to purchase at the end of the period of another 3.5 million euros – another R$22.29 million.
AEK, however, would like to sell the athlete for at least 4 million euros – around R$25.47 million -, without a loan. As a result, there is uncertainty about the business.
This Sunday (05/01), the player’s agent, Antoni Alexandrakis, admitted the negotiations and said that Eliasson wants to play for Grêmio and form an attacking partnership with Braithwaite.
– Eliasson is more Brazilian than us. He speaks perfect Portuguese and has a Brazilian passport. There is a great interest from the player in coming to play in Brazil. From our company’s point of view, Grêmio would be the ideal club for him, because they still have Braithwaite, a player I’ve known for many years. I think they would make a fantastic duo – said the agent on the program “Domingo Esporte Show”, on “Rádio Gaúcha”.

Who is Niclas Eliasson?
Born in Varberg, Sweden, Per Niclas Eliasson Santana is the son of a Swede and a Brazilian woman. The athlete speaks Portuguese and has Portuguese nationality.
The player started out in the youth teams at Falkenbergs FF, moving up to the professionals in 2013.
After his time with the team, he went to AIK, also in Sweden, later playing for IFK Norrköping. Between 2017 and 2020, he played for Bristol City, in England, before moving to Nîmes Olympique, in France.
In 2022, he was signed by AEK, from Greece, for 2 million euros. In the Greek team, there are already 90 games, with nine goals and 22 assists.
Success at AEK led to him being called up to the Sweden squad. The player was called up for all of the country’s games in the 2024 Nations League, having played in four of the six matches, without finding the net.
