The Fire Department used advanced technology to ensure public safety during New Year’s Eve, with emphasis on drones equipped with megaphones, used to guide bathers and reinforce sound safety messages.
For the first time, the corporation made available the service of doctors on watercraft, which reduces the time needed to provide assistance in maritime emergencies by up to 80%.
One of the pieces of equipment acquired to be used in major events, the Integrated Mobile Command and Control Center, was parked at Praça do Lido.
