For years there have been efforts by politics and business in Austria to bring more women into technical training and careers. In fact, the proportion of women in technology studies has continuously increased slightly over the past 20 years, from 22 percent in 2002/03 to 32 percent (2022/23). However, this is particularly due to the decline in the number of men in this study group, according to the latest student social survey.
