After a remarkable performance of I’m just a song by Marine, Ulysse, Charles and Franck, the emblematic title of Ginette Reno, which launched the evening, each student performed a duet title with a renowned artist to defend their place. For those who missed these beautiful moments, we invite you to see them again. Indeed, Charles sang alongside Gaëtan Roussel, Marine took over Mauvais Garçon with Héléna, semi-finalist of the previous season and adored by the public, Ulysse took the stage with Styleto and Franck sang with MC Solaar. The eliminated candidate is…
“There are only a few hundred votes difference. It’s very close”says Nikos Aliagas a few minutes before the end of the prime. “It happened in the last moments”he adds before finally announcing the first qualified student: Charles. The latter therefore leaves to join Ebony, who already had her place for the semi-final. Hand in hand, the three remaining candidates impatiently await the announcement of the star host. “Marine”he then shouts to cheers of relief from the public. Only Franck and Ulysses remain. The statistics would like it to be Franck who returns home. But at the Star Academy, there is no shortage of surprises. To everyone’s amazement, Ulysses is not saved again by the public and it is Franck who joins his candidates for the semi-final! Disappointed, Ulysses will not, for this seventh time, have managed to save his place.
Ebony chooses the candidate who will face her in the semi-final!
Just enough time to recover from their emotions and it’s already time for Ebony to announce which student she wants to go to the semi-final with! Finally, Ebony made the decision to compete against Franck. “I will be delighted to share a bonus with Franck. And if it is him or me who has to go to the final, I will be very happy. It is very symbolic for me”explained Ebony to Nikos. “We already had the opportunity to have a duet on a prime and it was a very big moment for me so I’m happy to be able to relive that”concluded Franck. The first semi-final, scheduled for next week, will pit Marine and Charles against each other. As for the second, scheduled for January 18, it will offer Ebony the opportunity to face Franck. The votes are already available and we can’t wait!

This week, TF1 is in second position (behind France 3 which was a hit thanks to the French series Parallel investigation) with the Star Academy, presented by with Karima Charni. The first part, from 9:13 p.m. to 10:27 p.m., convinced 2,99 millions of viewers (15,1% from the public; 24,7% FRDA-50). The second, from 10:33 p.m. to 11:35 p.m.: 2,96 millions of viewers (20,8% from the public; 31,1% FRDA-50).
