The mayor of Belo Horizonte remains hospitalized for an “indefinite period” in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Rede Mater Dei, in the capital of Minas Gerais. A new medical bulletin released this Saturday afternoon (4/1) updates the politician’s health status.
The note informs that Fuad evolved overnight “with improvement in hemodynamic and respiratory parameters”. The respiratory failure that led to hospitalization was caused by pneumonia, the tests carried out showed.
“He still needs sedation and mechanical ventilation, but he is already in the process of reducing the parameters of the devices. He remains hospitalized in the ICU for an indefinite period of time”, concludes the statement.
On Wednesday (1/1), Fuad was sworn in online on medical recommendation and was admitted again on Friday (1/3).
