Slovaks’ love for mountains knows no bounds. Even those who live far from mountainous areas are willing to sacrifice time, energy and comfort to enjoy moments on the snowy slopes. For many, skiing is not only a sport, but also a passion that draws them to the north of Slovakia, where the majestic mountains offer perfect conditions.
Winter is the season when the mountains turn into a magnet for thousands of enthusiasts. Weekends and holidays in particular become an ideal opportunity to escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. But these days, skiing can turn into a test of patience. Overcrowded parking lots, long lines at the lifts and endless waiting for the cable car can spoil even the best mood.
Moderator Zlatica Švajdová Puškárová (47), who, like many, is a lover of winter sports, was also convinced of this. “We love winter and skiing. We enjoy New Year’s Eve in Donovaly, places that are very special to me,” she wrote on a social network at the end of 2024. But now she has moved to Jasná, and the number of people on the slope did not please her at all. The presenter posted a photo of a huge line of people in front of the cable car and added an emoticon covering their eyes. You can find the picture in the gallery.
