The arrest was carried out as part of “Operation Tourniquet”, which seeks to combat vehicle and cargo theft in the state.
Christina had already been arrested red-handed in 2016, when she was found with the stolen cargo. After being released, she escaped from her home and started living in different places to escape justice. According to the police, her preventive arrest was ordered in 2018, but the suspect has remained at large until now.
Over the past three months, DRFA’s intelligence sector monitored the movement of the suspect, who was arrested without offering resistance. Information about other crimes or suspects can be passed on to the DRFA Hotline, with total guarantee of confidentiality, via WhatsApp (21) 98848-7164.
