The “Mundo do Galo” fans organize a protest in Belo Horizonte against Atlético-MG’s SAF. Around 30 banners will be displayed in different places in the capital of Minas Gerais.
The fans’ main demand concerns the results of the 2024 season, with two runners-up finishes, the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Libertadores.
In the Brasileirão, the club finished in 12th place, at risk of relegation until the last round.
“Transparency, responsibility and respect for Galo’s history”, wrote the collective’s profile on social media, which declares itself opposed to the club’s current management.
Galo adopted the Football Corporation (SAF) model in 2023. The holding has three main investors: Banco Inter, BMG and MRV.
