A 6-year-old child died after suffering an accident on BR-376, in Ortigueira, in Campos Gerais do Paraná. The accident occurred on December 29th, the child identified only as Sophia, was rescued and was hospitalized, but did not survive and died this Sunday (5).
According to information from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the girl was in a car with her family when the vehicle skidded on an oil patch on the road and collided with a truck. Due to the impact of the collision, Sophia and two other people were ejected from the car.

The school where the child studied published a note of condolence on social media. “It is with deep regret that Mercimeire School mourns the passing of its beloved student Sophia.
