One of the stadiums used in Copinha is, to say the least, curious. In Santa Fé do Sul, the city that hosts Group 2 games of the tournament, a tree interrupts the stands and stands next to the fans, marking the live presence of the mascot of the club that hosts the stadium.

Fighting for the conservation of macaws, very common in the city, the decision to keep the plant in the middle of the Evandro de Paula stadium made it different from all the others in terms of appearance and comfort. Watching the games in the shade and in a different way, the fans have an unprecedented experience with the sport.

The tree is there as part of an environmental preservation project by three residents of Santa Fé, who sought to preserve the macaws that live in the plant and are even mascots for the stadium’s host club, Santa Fé.

On the club’s shirt, there are drawings of the racks that every Santa Fé fan knows when they climb into the stands, carrying their identity with them at all times. “They use the stadium tree a lot for food, it’s full of macaws. So, when there was the entire club membership process, they asked about the project so that it wouldn’t be cut off”, says Liu Rodrigues, team coordinator.

“It casts a shadow, it has a structure, it is part of the complex, so it cannot be disturbed. It has a certain care, it is quite interesting, with macaw nests and everything. It ended up creating an environmentally conscious environment and it is a different stadium than many because of this”, he added.

The stadium also hosts games from Cuiabá, IAPE and Ponte Preta.
