Vienna – If more children from immigrant families are to master German as the language of instruction before they enter primary school, Natascha Taslimi from the Network for Elementary Education in Austria (NEBÖ) believes that parents should be brought more on board. In a conversation with the APA, she advocated integrating the topic of German language support into the parent-child pass with its mandatory examinations, which are a prerequisite for receiving family allowance.
