Since October 12, Ulysses has been living one of his dreams by participating in the. An adventure which he unfortunately had on January 4, on the verge of the semi-final. Since then, he has reunited with his loved ones, including his partner Lily whom the public had the opportunity to see during certain bonuses of the show. An idyll about which he agreed to confide in Purepeople.
How are you doing today ?
It’s okay, I’m getting over it all. I land, slowly, but it’s okay. I am very happy.
What state of mind were you in during this bonus?
In the same state of mind as each bonus, with the desire to tear everything up, to give the best of me. I was likely to leave every time, so I told myself that if I left that night, I had to be happy no matter what.
With each of your nominations, you have been saved by the public. So was your departure a surprise?
Honestly, I never left the castle and said to myself: ‘I’m definitely going back tonight. I have quite the opposite mentality. I prefer to expect the worst like that, if something good happens, I’m pleasantly surprised. Honestly I didn’t have an estimate, I didn’t know who was going to leave. And I never ruled out the possibility that it was me, so I was prepared for it a little.
You have been nominated 7 times. Have you ever thought about giving up?
At the beginning, it was complicated, so it’s true that the desire to give up comes quite quickly. But we are so well surrounded, whether it’s friends at the castle, teachers, etc. that we don’t want to give up. And once we are saved by the public, we no longer want to give up, because people believe in us. So just for them, we have to fight and go to the end.
Did this numerous support surprise you?
We don’t know the image we give off to the outside, so I wondered what could be cool about me, why people believed in me. You have to believe that they believed in me while I didn’t believe in it myself, so it’s quite strange. But I’m so happy. Each time I was defeated by a nomination, being saved by the public gave me a boost in confidence and gave me even more.
You entered the adventure freshly as a couple. Were you afraid that this adventure would put your story in danger?
Yes, honestly it’s an adventure that is complicated for a couple to live through. We obviously asked ourselves a lot of questions. We still gave it a try and told ourselves that if we got through this, we could get through anything. We have to believe that we succeeded.
Marine really liked you and according to many, it was more than friendship. How did your partner Lily experience this situation and all the comments that were made on social networks?
For my part, there was never more than friendship with Marine. I can’t speak for her, because I have no idea how she felt about it. But I imagine that it must not have been easy for my girlfriend outside. But that’s how it is, we made it to the end despite everything and everything is fine.
Did she tell you anything about Marine?
No, nothing at all.
You did a duet with Marine during which you were not comfortable unlike the one with Marguerite or Ebony, for what reason?
I was very comfortable with Marine during our duets. There was just one where it was complicated because we were in a character wearing wedding outfits and that made me a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, I had no trouble interpreting with her. We had done several duets before which went very well.
Why didn’t you wear the awesome socks she gave you?
(laughs). It would have made him very happy if I wore them. So just for that reason, I never wore them.
