Antônio Couto dos Santos
Former social-democratic minister António Couto dos Santos was found dead, this Monday, floating in a lake at Citygolf, in Matosinhos.
Antônio Couto dos Santosaged 75, was Aníbal Cavaco Silva’s minister three times, managing the portfolios of Education, Parliamentary Affairs and Youth, having previously been Secretary of State for Youth, Quality of Life and Environment.
He was found deadon Monday morning, at Citygolf, in Senhora da Hora, in Matosinhos, sources from the São Mamede de Infesta Fire Department and the PSD revealed to Lusa.
According to the fire department source, the body of the former ruler I was floating in a lake in the countryside, and has already gone to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Porto.
