The Ministry of Finance informed, through an official note released this Monday morning (6), that it was due to the recovery of a family member who underwent surgery at the end of 2024.
Haddad’s vacation had been scheduled in January because of this surgical procedure, according to the folder.
The minister would go on vacation this Monday (6) and from January 10th to 21st, but the rest was canceled.

“The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, suspended his vacation and will return to Brasília to fulfill an agenda previously planned with the President of the Republic.
The decision to cancel the rest period was taken after the prompt recovery of his family member who underwent a surgical procedure at the end of the year, which was the reason for scheduling a vacation during this period.”
