In “ZiB 2”, head of the Fiscal Council Badelt doubts whether Kickl will save “brutally” as necessary

If you ignore the ÖVP’s line to the FPÖ, the starting position for the next government remained the same: “The actual problem has not changed at all,” says economist and head of the Fiscal Council Christoph Badelt dryly on Sunday evening in the ZiB 2 and names this problem as follows: “Saving six billion on one seat can be done, but it’s pretty brutal.” Badelt doubts whether the first blue chancellor would want to act so brutally. Ignoring the EU’s fiscal rules would be “purely and simply a breach of international law.”
