The last quarter of 2024 marked the rise of Dacia Sandero as the best-selling car model in Portugal. The Romanian brand, part of the Renault group, reached the top with 7760 units sold, surpassing the Peugeot 2008which was the leader in the previous three years, by a margin of 240 vehicles.
The growth of electric vehicles was another notable trend, with the Tesla Model 3 to occupy third place in the national ranking. The model from the brand led by Elon Musk registered 6764 units sold, an impressive increase of 65.5% compared to 2023. In December alone, the Model 3 was the best-selling in the country, with 1032 sales, according to Jornal de Negócios.
