During an agenda held on Monday (6), the acting governor, Mailza Assis, raised positive information regarding public security in the state of Acre. The number of socio-educational students in the State Socio-Educational Institute (ISE) units reduced by around 84%.
According to Mailza, who is also president of the Child and Adolescent Budget (Ocad), the number of socio-educational students was reduced from 700 to 100 in Acre units.
The governor related the decrease to the State’s public policies aimed at the resocialization of adolescents.
“We have changed the mentality of these teenagers’ lives, bringing attention and affection so that they can be returned to society in a dignified way”, he highlighted.
In 2024, the Government invested R$13.5 million in structural improvements, acquisition of equipment and hiring of new employees for the ISE, through a public competition.
The Institute, which currently has eight inpatient units, four of which are in the capital, and one of semi-freedom, by 2025 must expand actions aimed at training employees and strengthening the units.
