At an event held this Monday (6), in Rio de Janeiro, Botafogo announced VBet, a sports betting house, as the new master sponsor of black and white football. The contract is valid for three seasons, until December 2027.
“The partnership with Vbet is an important moment for Botafogo and for our fans. The champion of Brazil and America is joining forces with a global company that believes in the Club’s work and its legacy. Vbet arrives to add forces and brings the necessary impetus for Botafogo to continue its journey at the top of Brazilian and world football”, commented Thairo Arruda, CEO of Botafogo.
The agreement was closed at R$55 million annually, which places the sponsorship among the largest in Brazilian football. “It’s in the Top 5, without a doubt”, said Thairo to the guests present.
The event featured the participation of players who will compete in the initial rounds of the Campeonato Carioca, such as goalkeeper Raul, midfielder Patrick de Paula and striker Matheus Nascimento.
VBet, therefore, starts to appear on the main space of Botafogo’s uniform, with the brand displayed on the chest. Glorioso’s uniform also bears the brands of Centrum (sleeves) and LifeFit (socks), in addition to Reebok, a supplier of sports equipment.
VBet’s debut in Botafogo’s uniform will take place this Saturday (11). With the main group still out, Glorioso faces Maricá, at Nilton Santos, in the first round of the Guanabara Cup. The ball rolls at 4:30 pm (Brasília time).
Eyeing 2025
will allow Botafogo to seek three unprecedented cups in 2025: the Supercopa do Brasil, the Recopa Sul-Americana and the Super Club World Cup. In addition, Glorioso will compete in Carioca, the Copa do Brasil, the Libertadores and the Campeonato Brasileiro.
