The appeal process with Jozef Hanusko, accused of the murder of his partner, is scheduled for January 28 at the Regional Court in Bratislava. This follows from the schedule of hearings published on the website of the Ministry of Justice. The defendant appealed against the length of the prison sentence, against the inclusion in the maximum level of guarding and against protective supervision.
Last year in October, the Senate of the City Court Bratislava I imposed on Jozef Hanuska was sentenced to 23 years in prison with maximum security for the murder of his partner in a Bratislava apartment. At the same time, he imposed protective psychiatric and anti-alcohol treatment on him in an institutional form. He also imposed protective supervision for a period of three years and to compensate the victim in the amount of 2,941 euros. According to the prosecutor, the court decided in accordance with the proposal of the prosecution and considered the punishment to be fair.
At the first main hearing, the defendant pleaded guilty, so the evidence was conducted only on the sentencing verdict. Last year in January, the police informed about the discovery of the body of a woman without signs of life in one of the apartments in the second district of Bratislava. Subthe sharp-eyed man was later detained, after the accusation, the court took him into custody.
