The (FAB) concluded the crash of the plane, a tragic incident that occurred on December 25th. The analysis of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane’s black boxes has been completed, and the data has been sent to Kazakh authorities. This accident resulted in the death of 38 people and raised suspicions about Russia’s possible responsibility for what happened. The FAB reported that the work to extract, acquire and validate data from flight recorders was completed last Saturday.

The crucial data for the investigation was collected by experts from the Center for Research and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA), based in Brasília. The FAB highlighted that the analysis of the extracted data and the information in the final report are the sole responsibility of the Kazakh investigative authorities. The black boxes, which contain cabin audio recordings and flight data, arrived in Brazil last week for analysis. During the process, three investigators from Kazakhstan and other experts were present to monitor the work.

The incident sparked diplomatic tensions, with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev accusing Russia of having shot down the plane. In response to these accusations, Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized to Aliyev and admitted that, on the day of the accident, Russian air defense fired shots due to the presence of Ukrainian drones in the Caucasus. However, Putin did not recognize Russia’s responsibility for the tragedy.
